MKDEI is a residential school that prepares students for the National Defence Academy (NDA) entrance exam. MKDEI offers school education in the science stream (non-medical) for 8th to 12th standard, along with NDA exam preparation. The institution prepares cadets for:

– Xth and XIIth Board Exams

– UPSC (NDA) written exam

– Services Selection Board (SSB) Interview

– Technical Entry Scheme (TES) for entry to the College of Military

 – Engineering (CME)

A cadet\’s day is extremely hectic, beginning at dawn and ending at night, packed with a diverse range of activities including academics, physical training, sports, and exercises, all while balancing NDA and board exam preparations.

MKDEI cadets receive both academic instruction and self-study time. Each day, 6-8 hours are devoted to academics and self-study, enabling cadets to prepare effectively for the boards & NDA exam. Theoretical learning, combined with conceptual understanding, is highly effective. Our expert mentors and teachers introduce innovative and effective teaching methods which are helpful in genuine mentorship.

At MKDEI, we focus on long-term cadet grooming, rather than short-term training, we provide a separate facility for SSB Interview training. Our comprehensive approach integrates SSB preparation into the daily routine, which leads to a progressive and natural development of officer-like qualities in cadets.

To strengthen their academic background, we provide –

  • Personal Interaction by experienced teachers and mentors at the beginning of the academic year to identify the strengths and weaknesses of each cadet.
  • Cadets are then put through different programs to develop/inculcate leadership qualities.
  • Regular feedback from individuals to see cadet’s personal progress.
  • Exposure to cadets on each aspect of SSB Interview including conduct of live capsules under qualified and experienced assessors
  • Physical Training and Sports at MKDEI

Physical activity and sports are integral to our training program. We focus on maintaining the excellent physical fitness of cadets to perform better in the NDA exam.

There is 30 minutes of Physical Training (PT) in the morning and 60 minutes of sports in the evening for maintaining good physical fitness.
