MKDEI is a residential, NDA preparatory school. MKDEI imparts education for 9^th to 12^th std in science subjects and the fundamentals of Defence Studies. The institute prepares cadets for UPSC (NDA) Entrance Exam, Technical Entry Scheme (TES) for entry to the College of Military Engineering (CME), along with simultaneous studies for the XIIth Board Exams. It prepares cadets subsequently for Services Selection Board interview.

The MGM University in Aurangabad, established by the revered Mahatma Gandhi Mission Trust, a pioneer with 4 decades of excellence in education, research and service was till June 2022, a self-financed state private university, approved by government of Maharashtra and the passing of MGM university act 2019 by Maharashtra legislative assembly and legislative council. It has the 2(f) status granted by the university grants commission (UGC) of India.
